I uploaded a public domain PDF which I had downloaded from Google Books. (This is my first try to upload.)

http://www.archive.org/details/LaBelleAssembleVol.1718Jan-dec1818

The first problem is: the periodical's title is "La Belle Assemblée." But the identifier ignores the é, and that was the only clue the system gave me that it would have a problem with the é. The title given in IA is now "La Belle Assemblée." How do I fix this?

Second, is there any way to request that the script tpb grab a particular book from Google Books?

I spent a lot of time searching for an answer to this question and have been unable to find any (though I did learn than tpb is a script).

Here are some things to try 1. Go to the book page. At the top of the page you should see an option called "Edit Item" which will allow you to edit the book information. 2. Once your in the menu to edit the fields, change the book title to read "La Belle Assemblée" 3. I don't think there is a way to modify the book identifier. The only way would be to delete the book entirely and re-upload, though it may be the same problem again. If you try it, try using the extended ascii code instead of the é, which is "& # 2 3 3 ;" (I had to put spaces in between so it will display correctly, remove the spaces and quote marks when read to use it). Thanks, Stephen; I had tried to do that before I posted but the item is still being processed and I can't edit it yet. I asked because I thought that if the high ascii wouldn't work in the upload process, I wouldn't be able to edit it either. I will try it when it's available for editing.

Laura,

Fix the title and forget about the identifier name as it is unimportant.

You have also another problem:

license is wrong: must be PUBLIC DOMAIN

third problem: if this book (as it seems) is already in archive: why upload a duplicate? Look for text if present in Archive, before upload

1. I searched for this book every way I could think of and did not find it. I am a long-time user of IA so was frankly surprised that I could not find any. This is a periodical and there are many issues available on Google Books. Please point me to what you think is already uploaded so that I can compare it to this set of issues.

2. I followed the instructions during upload for the license exactly. It said something like "this is the one you choose if you are asserting that the item is already in the public domain." What else am I supposed to choose? I'll check to see if I can change it though.

3. How about answers for the questions I asked?
